Soft Spot was made as a public commission in Oslo Central Station on view from June to November 2017. The textile sculpture was 8 metres high and we were four artists working together from the initial idea to the final result. We used nylon material bleached in the sun during the project months. It was interesting to watch the changes due to the sun and the wind and how the intensity of colours faded slowly and transformed the experience of the sculpture.
The following artists contributed: Sidsel Palmstrøm, Johanne Lund Ness, Malfridur Adalsteinsdottir and Hanne Øverland. “Soft Spot” was curated by Mesén and the project was supported financially by the Oslo municipality.
